Requirements to join

For Candidacy

For Initiation

  • Any undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at UMD, intending* to pursue a major in accounting, finance, or ISM is eligible for candidacy.

  • Candidates must have at least two semesters of academic study remaining. 

  • New candidates must complete the application below, interview with the e-board, and pay a $100 initiation fee. 

  • The Fall 2021 deadline for applications is October 15, 2022.

    * You do not need to be a declared major. 

  •  To be initiated as a full member, a candidate must have:

    • Declared a concentration in accounting, finance, or ISM.

    • Completed at least one upper level course (non BBA core) in your declared concentration.

    • Completed professional and service hour requirements during each semester of candidacy. 

    • Met the following GPA requirements: 

      1. A cumulative 3.0 GPA in your concentration (excluding BBA core), AND

      2. ​A cumulative 3.0 GPA overall, OR,                                          a 3.25 GPA on your most recently completed 30 semester hours.
